Welcome to Michaela and Mom's Rabbitry! 
In the fall of 2009, Michaela's love for animals brought us to a 4H fair.  We have gone to several over the years, but now she is old enough to join!  Her first plan was riding...but its kinda hard to keep a horse in the backyard :)
After exploring the Rabbit club area, we decided that this would be a good place to start!  As she looked at all the breeds, we came to the Holland Lops.  We found a very cute, and spunky little doe..which was quickly named Fluffy.  Unfortunately we lost Fluffy a few weeks later, the vet was unsure what caused the loss.
After searching near and far to find another bunny, we found a great youth breeder..who was also involved in 4H and ARBA. 
With several baby and young bunnies available Michaela decided on Regina.  Now that we have found our 4H club, and are starting to learn more about showing...we decided that this could be a great activity for us to share!  Now back on the search for a few more quality bunnies!  With the great experience we had with Regina, we decided to go back to the same breeder to see what advice they had.
We are now the proud owners of 4 Holland Lops, all of which have come from Delightful Darlings Rabbitry in NJ.

Michaela did well at her first show.  On Saturday, in the specialty Marisol placed 13 and Regina placed 7out of 16!  On Sunday, in the specialty Maddie place 8 out of 20!  We also came home with a few more bunnies...pictures coming soon!

We have babies!!!  Marisol and Nacho have 4 kits born 2-13-10.  There is 1 broken black and 3 torts.  They are doing well, and getting bigger everyday!
